Cheltenham Bed and Breakfast B&B Hotel Details Page
Spacious, elegant 5 Star Gold Award, Alastair Sawday and Wolsey Lodge members. A period townhouse in central Cheltenham with 3 double bedrooms with ensuite or private bathrooms, and parking. Close to fashionable Montpellier, Parade, gardens & festivals
|Hanover House is an attractive Italianate style early Victorian house built in 1848, internally reflecting Regency elegance and externally the fashionable architectural style brought back from Italy by well-to-do Englishmen on the Grand Tour.
We are not a guest house but a family home, providing a 5 Star but relaxed, informal atmosphere for those visiting this exquisite town on business or pleasure. With 3 spacious bedrooms, each with either private or en-suite bathroom and tea and coffee making facilities, it offers visitors the use of the drawing room to watch television or a DVD, listen to music or browse through the extensive library of books covering a myriad of topics.
Hanover House provides an excellent focus for visiting the Cotswolds, Malverns or Forest of Dean. It is located in the heart of Regency Cheltenham, where a large number of excellent restaurants suiting all culinary tastes are to be found within 5 minutes walk. The superb, fashionable shopping centres located within Montpellier and along the wide tree-lined Promenade, hosting regular street farmerís and continental markets are literally around the corner, as are the renowned Ladies College and the Royal Well coach station. Cheltenham Spa railway station is 800 yards away, a pleasant walk along the bank of the River Chelt following the pedestrianised parkland route of the former Honeybourne railway line.
Entertainment in the town is also widely available and ranges from festivals and exhibitions that take place on the Racecourse, a mile and a half away, or in the nearby Montpellier Gardens, to shows, festivals and concerts at the Pitville Pump Room and municipal venues. There is also a variety of bars and clubs, a multiplex cinema, and three excellent theatres.
