The Brakey House in downtown Ventura, California (part of the tri-counties of Ventura, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo, 25 minutes south of downtown Santa Barbara) is a Victorian House built in 1890 and beautifully restored into a charming European-style guesthouse with all the modern amenities including two rooms with jacuzzi tubs! The property also features a Prodigy HOT TUB by Hot Springs.
Originally designed by German-born Innkeeper, Gisela Flender-Baida in 1985, this Ventura Bed and Breakfast has recently been closed and then opened anew, fully refurnished with new, luxury pillow top, king and queen-sized beds, televisions and DVD players, and a full complement of bathroom amenities.
The breakfast is served in Gisela's original Bavarian tradition with a full spread of sumptuous delights for the hungry traveler, including freshly brewed coffee, fresh squeezed orange juice, and fresh baked bread.
In this rustic breakfast room setting, overlooking the great Pacific Ocean, guests often find themselves seated next to a Hollywood Celebrity taking a brief respite from the hustle and bustle of the film business. (Barbra Streisand's favorite room is the Jacuzzi Suite, the Santa Barbara room).
With private baths and private entrances for each room, the Brakey House is the perfect getaway. |
