| double bedroom - We don't do shower cubicles in the corners of rooms masquerading as ensuite (the age of our house does not lend itself to such decadence). We do though have an en suite washbasin. So you either wait patiently for the bathroom, don't wash, stand outside in the rain or go on the water rides at Alton Towers.
Just imagine the extra cost of a getting en suite somewhere. It may even come at the cost of no breakfast and not even shampoo- and by the way- it will undoubtedly cost more! family room - total cost per night is £85 for a family of 4 - 2 adults, 2 children. When four people want it and they are NOT family then we charge £100 (we can tell!). This still makes it £25 per person for a room and breakfast. Of course you could book two rooms somewhere 'famous' and see what the difference is. Remember though,you might not get a breakfast included, never mind trying to find shampoo.Why not compare prices before giving up on us? Then again if you like being in a bedroom with a TV, a T bag and little sachets of milk; until it is time to cross the car park for breakfast (at extra cost), then you know where to go. lounge - A room to die for, not in. Log fire, TV, a place to drink your own wine and beer, watch videos, read, and play happy families or drunken friendship groups. Your wine and beer chilled for you,takeaways delivered to the door and your leftover food finished by us the next day to avoid mess. Pop outside to smoke, or in the summer BBQ, play tennis, and enjoy the views. This surely has to be better than being sent to a bedroom with a zapper, kettle, and sachets of UHT milk? the cottage by the pond - Prices from £35 per person. £110 per family of four, discount for self catering. Formerly used as self catering cottage until pet-owners let themsleves down, we now offer this exclusively to B&B guests on a short term basis, or to those wishing to extend a stay. Effectively you have the choice of one price for B&B or another if you look after yourselves. For stays over two nights we will always compromise on the price - you only have to ask. The cottage is ideal for up to four people or a family of four/five. Please see the full detail on our website (link is on home page) because of the open-plan nature of the layout. the static van - £12 per person NO breakfast - Built in the 1950s this magnificent design icon has slowly settled into the ground and its surroundings over the last thirty years.The van is supplied with mains electric, and water, but does not have a shower/bathroom, and please note that hot water is via a kettle -HENCE THE PRICE! There is a toilet and we will provide bedding, tea and coffee and of course the surrounding facilities.NO BREAKFAST. We make no apologies for the 'van' as it is intended to service the needs of those trying to save money and have an adventure.
