THE MILL HOUSE has been our family home for a number of years and we now offer hospitality to our guests in simple but stylish and comfortable accommodation.
THE GRANARY SUITE offers one or two double (or twin bedded) en suite bedrooms together with very large sitting room which has t.v., dvd player, fridge, microwave and tea/coffee making facilities - ideal for two couples or family groups, being totally self contained and private. This accommodation is on the ground floor and all on one level. We also have one or two double bedrooms with a sitting room and bathroom, approached via a steep staircase.
We offer delicious cooked breakfasts using local and/or organic produce where ever possible. If you prefer we can provide vegetarian or continental style breakfasts. Home-made jams and marmalade served according to season and availability.
THE MILL HOUSE is very close to the EDEN PROJECT (a few minutes' drive away) and is an ideal centre for exploring this wonderful County. The building is old (over 200 years) but the accommodation offers our guests the opportunity to relax after a day spent enjoying the beautiful coast and country of Cornwall or visiting the EDEN PROJECT or HELIGAN GARDENS. Enormous wooden beams and cast iron posts which supported the mill operations still remain but our guests are able to enjoy the best of both the old and the new with comfortable king size beds or twin bedded rooms. There is a small library of books and games and a selection of dvds to enjoy after a busy day visiting some of the many places of interest nearby. Guests are made welcome by Chris and Joanna and this welcome extends to your pet (in part of the accommodation). We do have our own dogs and cats but they usually keep quite a low profile!
THE EDEN PROJECT and HELIGAN GARDENS are only a very short drive away, the TATE Gallery at St. Ives is about an hour's drive, several magnificent National Trust properties are nearby and the MARITIME MUSEUM at Falmouth is within easy reach and both the north and south coasts are easily accessible. Why not visit the far west of Cornwall and see Cape Cornwall or St. Ives.
BRING YOUR BICYCLES AND SAVE MONEY ON THE ADMISSION CHARGES TO EDEN! We are close to one of the cycle trails to Eden, but would stress that it is quite a strenuous ride to the Eden Project. To take full advantage of the surrounding area and to see as much of Cornwall as possible you really do need to have your car with you.
Why not extend your stay and take the opportunity of exploring some of the miles of outstanding coastal paths, coves and beaches (all within a short drive)and then return for a hot bath or shower or perhaps an informal supper (winter time only) with us or choose from one of the many restaurants and pubs in the area to eat out. Enjoy EDEN and visit HELIGAN GARDENS too while you are with us!
Arrive at Eden early in the morning, after enjoying your breakfast sitting around our large farmhouse kitchen table and planning your day, and have time to absorb this amazing project before the crowds develop.
We are a NON-SMOKING ESTABLISHMENT - thank you.
We look forward to welcoming you....
