| Feel the need to relax and unwind? Then let Robert and Elaine Murdoch and Family welcome "Ewe", to their working Beef and Dairy farm, situated on the outskirts of the coastal seaside town of Saltcoats. Surrounded by beautiful Scottish countryside. Lochwood Farm commands magnificent, panoramic views over the Ayrshire Valley and Clyde Coast.
Located nearby are the airports of Prestwick (25 minutes) and Glasgow (40 minutes). The major towns of Ayr, Prestwick, Troon, Kilmarnock, Irvine and Largs are all within 30 minutes by car, bus or train. We are not situated on a public transport route, but with prior notice, arrangements can be made to pick you up from the stations or depots of Saltcoats or Kilwinning. We pride ourselves on offering four, very cosy, comfortable and unique bedrooms, all located in the newly converted, yet still very traditional, old stone byre. The rooms are all en-suite and are individually named, decorated and furnished to make you feel completely at ease. Children are very welcome here, (we have five - Victoria, Caron, Thomas, Byrony and Grace) so we can easily provide a cot or high chair if required!!! Most of our bedrooms are at ground level, making them suitable for those who have limited mobility. Breakfast is leisurely and imaginative with the Farmhouse Table laden with delicious homemade, home grown and local produce whenever possible. Elaine particularly enjoys homebaking and offers complimentary afternoon tea of pancakes, scones, shortbread or cakes on arrival. Magnificent panoramic views - working Dairy Farm - seven luxurious ensuite bedrooms (t.v., hospitality tray, alarm clock, hairdryer, cd/radio ) - afternoon tea and homebaking - fantastic Scottish Breakfast - candlelit Farmhouse Supper - books, games & videos - wonderful outdoor hottub - large trampoline - ferry for Isle of Arran (4 miles) - Glasgow/Prestwick Airport (40/20 mins) - Largs, Troon, Ayr all near - book now !!!
