Briardene is a Victorian style Guest House built from local Lakeland stone and situated in beautiful Windermere. At Briardene, we offer a personal welcome and service. We have 3 luxury rooms available. The first is our 4-poster room furnished with reclaimed hand-carved pine furniture including a kingsize bed, a sitting area, 22" flat screen TV/DVD, fridge, iron & iron board and also all the normal extras together with a larger en-suite offering an enclosed power/steam shower. Our second room is our Victorian Room furnished with a brass king-size bed, sitting area with a 22" flat screen TV/DVD, fridge, iron & iron board and also all the normal extras together with a larger en-suite offering an enclosed power/steam shower. Our third room is our Deluxe Attic room with Victorian brass king-size bed, sitting area & en-suite bathroom and shower. This room also includes a 22" flat screen TV/DVD, fridge, iron & ironing board, bathrobes & bathsheets. All rooms have colour remote colour TV's with digital freeview & DVD players, radio/alarm clocks with iPod docking, hair dryers, tea and coffee making facilities with complimentary hot chocolate, biscuits, mints and local bottled water. Also fresh towels, bathrobes and toiletries are provided too. Briardene is only a 10 minute walk from the Bus/Train station and only a 2 minute walk from Windermere town centre where there are plenty of shops, restaurants, cafes and public houses. Lake Windermere is only a 20 minute walk away where there are beautiful walks and outstanding views. For breakfast there is a wide choice available from our extensive menu where we offer Continental, Vegetarian or Full English breakfasts. Also waffles, drop scones, french bread . Exclusively for non-smokers. Sorry no children or pets.
