Comfortable Victorian 4 star (Visit Britain) Lakeland Guest House built in 1896 and centrally located in the town of Windermere, a short walk to local shops, cafes and restaurants. The lake is a short car ride away or approximately 20 minutes' walk. The railway station is a short walk away as well.
Many original features have been retained, such as the stained glass and tiled floor in the entrance porch and the grand pitch pine staircase, but under our ownership the house has been fully refurbished and redecorated to offer warm and welcoming bed and breakfast accommodation. All bedrooms are en-suite, with the usual facilities - flat screen digital colour tv, fluffy towels, hairdryer, alarm clock, refreshment tray and wineglasses and all of our rooms are centrally-heated and double-glazed. We offer king-size double, double, twin, family and single rooms. The single room also has its own DVD player. Do please click through to our own web-site to see photos of all of the bedrooms. (Link below)
We have a spacious lounge for our guests to use, with a selection of maps and guides to the area, colour tv and DVD player and we are happy to help plan your days in the Lake District.
Our hearty breakfasts are cooked to order and include locally made Cumberland sausage and free-range eggs delivered from the local farm, with lighter or vegetarian alternatives available of course (meat and non-meat products cooked and served separately). There is also a selection of cereals, grapefruit, fruit juice and fresh toast, with a plentiful supply of tea, coffee or herbal infusions. Some private parking, with free parking on Holly Road as well. Non-smoking throughout.

An ideal base from which to explore the Lake District!
Please note, that because we do everythig ourselves and do not employ staff or send our laundry out, we do not accept bookings for just one night due to the workload involved.
