| Chestnut Villa is only one mile from the centre of Durham and is near Durham University. We offer comfortable, cosy and relaxed Bed and Breakfast with a good choice for breakfast. When you email us to book you can request a Full English or Continental breakfast. Vegetarian, Vegan and special diets can also be catered for also but we will need prior notice for these, please. We run a very friendly, relaxed and affordable B&B. We are both child friendly and pet friendly (pets by arrangement, please) |

| BEDROOM - Each bedroom is furnished with a colour TV and tea/coffee-making facilities. All are now en-suite except one which has its own private bathroom CHESTNUT VILLA B&B - Chestnut Villa is a charming red brick house, which has been in the family for three generations. It dates from 1880 and is not far from a main road leading to the centre of Durham and the University. It is well-hidden and tucked away in three acres of beautiful, mature gardens bursting with flowers and shrubs. There is more than ample off-road parking. There is a local inn and restaurant within walking distance. For nature-lovers and walkers alike there are beautiful woodland walks nearby where, if lucky, one may catch sight of a heron or even a kingfisher. There is also an excellent, regular bus service every ten minutes Places to Visit - Durham Cathedral 1.4 miles Beamish Museum: 12.1 miles Diggerland: 7 miles Durham Record Office 1.2 miles Raby Castle 19.4 miles [1 mile=1.6 km] THE DINING ROOM - The usual breakfast is a hearty, full English one or Continental if you prefer.
