It dates from 1880 and is not far from a main road leading to the centre of Durham and the University. It is well-hidden and tucked away in three acres of beautiful, mature gardens bursting with flowers and shrubs. There is more than ample off-road parking. There is a local inn and restaurant within walking distance. For nature-lovers and walkers alike there are beautiful woodland walks nearby where, if lucky, one may catch sight of a heron or even a kingfisher.
