About Menkee Menkee is a handsome barn which we have lovingly converted over the last four years to our own design with guests in mind. There is TV in our comfortable sitting room, or music, books and games available for your use. In good weather you can play croquet (don't ask us how to play the game though, we make up our own rules!!) and boules on the lawn or just sit around and relax. Gardens Close to us we have some very special gardens including Lanhydrock House and Gardens, Pencarrow House and Gardens, as well as Eden and Heligan. Pine Lodge Gardens are about 25 minutes drive and are a firm favourite with guests having been created by a couple over a period of 28 years. There are over 6000 plants and all are named. Golf There are excellent golf courses nearby, with favourites being St. Enodoc, Lanhydrock and Bowood. If you want to play at a reasonable price, St Kew is very pretty, fairly level and is close by though it is no pushover!! The club house offers excellent homemade food daily at reasonable prices.
