| Location Our home is near the centre of Taunton, the county town of Somerset, England, and is about 15 minutes' drive from both Junctions 25 and 26 of the M5 motorway. We are about half a mile from the town centre and about one mile from the railway station (with trains to London Paddington taking around two and a half hours), while County Hall, Musgrove Park Hospital and the Somerset College of Arts and Technology are all within easy walking distance. Bristol International Airport is about an hour's drive. Taunton is populated with pubs and restaurants to suit all tastes, several within five minutes' walk of the house. Facilities We have one double and one twin room. Both rooms are very comfortable and include radio/alarm clock, television and tea/coffee making facilities. They share a superb bathroom, with new bath and separate power shower, used only by our guests. A cold buffet breakfast is served between 7.00 and 8.30 in the large dining room on the ground floor. The house - but not the garden - is non-smoking. Outside we have off-street parking for four cars. Guests are welcome in the house between 5pm and 9am - we are not a small hotel nor a self-catering place - and front door keys are provided; they may use our computer and we provide free internet access. |
