Our B&B is quietly situated on the water front near the local harbour and is very convenient if you are taking the ferry to the Isle of Lewis. We offer a choice of comfortable accommodation in 3 double bedrooms.
All rooms have en-suite facilities, colour TV and hospitality tray and are located upstairs.
Our 3 bedrooms all have magnificent views overlooking the harbour, the shores of Loch Broom and the panorama of the surrounding hills. From your window you can see the local cruise boats heading for the Summer Isles and watch the ferry arrive from Stornoway.
Why not stay for a few days to absorb the superb scenery which stretches from Wester Ross to northern Sutherland? Ullapool is a central base for driving north and south to explore this unique landscape, and is an ideal location for enjoying outdoor activities such as hill walking and fishing. Ullapool is the ferry terminal for sailings across The Minch to the Isle of Lewis. During the summer you can take the early boat over to Stornoway and get a coach tour of the island before returning to Ullapool in the evening. This is an excellent day trip to visit the Hebrides if your time or money is limited, as the trip includes a visit to the famous Callanish standing stones.
Whatever your holiday plans, we extend a warm and friendly welcome to all our guests and offer a relaxed atmosphere which we hope feels like home from home. Ullapool's central location on the north-west coast makes it an ideal base for touring. Head northwards and in 45 minutes you can be enjoying views of the Summer Isles from Achiltibuie. Discover the unique coastal roads, panoramic views of mountains and remote sands of Sutherland. Explore the Inchnadamph caves along the way and Smoo Cave at Durness which also has beautiful beaches and dunes nearby. Intrepid travellers may like to take the trip to Cape Wrath which is the most north-westerly place on the British mainland. Head south from Ullapool to explore Wester Ross with the unusual gardens at Inverewe, harbour and heritage museum at Gairloch with its nearby lighthouse, plus a whole range of mountain scenery and deserted beaches. Ullapool is just 90 minutes drive from Inverness which has bus, train and plane connections with the rest of Scotland and the UK. Coach services operate every day except Sunday between Inverness and Ullapool with connections further north. Car rental is available from Inverness airport. In addition to its variety of shops, tourist information centre and award-winning heritage museum, the town also has a modern leisure centre and swimming pool. By the shore there is a scenic 9 hole golf course where clubs are available for hire. |
