| The house was built by Newson Garrett, father of Elizabeth Garrett Anderson and Millicent Fawcett in 1893. It has a big garden and generous sized rooms and is situated in a private road in the quieter part of the town opposite the tennis courts and the bowling green. The footpath beyond the front gate leads to the marshes and the river 10 mins away. In the other direction Aldeburgh high street and the beach are less than 10 mins walk. Great breakfasts with own eggs and locally resourced ingredients. "Fabulous house, decor, art, pottery. Wonderful friendly atmosphere. Felt completely at ease. Would recommend wholeheartedly.
