| The Manor House of Roeberry was built in 1861 and dominates this side of the stunningly lovely island of South Ronaldsay. It's a five minute stroll down to the beach. We are 25 minutes drive from kirkwall across the dramatic Churchill Barriers, and two miles out of St Margaret's Hope (shops, p.o., dining pub, ferry to Scotland). We have extraordinary views across bays and islands and one of the loveliest gardens in Orkney, in four acres with high stone walls - grounds where guests are welcome to picnic. Our two bed and breakfast rooms are up their own private stair, and have their own sitting room and kitchenette, equipped for drinks and snacks, with fridge, microwave and washing machine. The Twin has an ensuite shower, though the loo (private use) is across the hall. This room can also be used as a Superking. The King has its own fully equipped bathroom. Books, games and films are provided; bikes can be lent. Cyclists and walkers welcome. We are a relaxed family home with three generations, children and friendly dogs. If interested, please email. Thanks. |
