Kilsby Country House is a beautiful house built in 1850. It has a stunning location on a hillside overlooking the Irfon Valley, and is set in 2.5 acres of beautiful gardens and woodland. The views are spectacular, the bird life amazing and you've never had a breakfast until you've had a Kilsby Breakfast. Kilsby is 1.25 miles from Llanwrtyd Wells in the heart of Mid Wales (home of Bog Snorkelling Beer Festivals and the Man v Horse Race). This whole area is a walkers, cyclists, bird watchers paradise and if you're into fishing then Mid Wales is the place for you. On the other hand if all you want to do is relax and enjoy the peace and tranquility then there's no better place to do just that. Kilsby Country House is a small friendly business run by Sue and Chris Cooper. We have just 2 guest rooms so you know you will always get personalised service. Each room can be a double or a twin with TV/Video/DVD and tea and coffee making facilities and each has a private bathroom. In winter relax in the cosy lounge in front of a welcoming log fire or in summer soak up the sunshine while sitting in the garden enjoying those breathtaking views. There is ample safe parking and space to spread out. We have been awarded 4 stars and Welcome Host Gold Standard by the Wales Tourist Board. We use Organic/Fairtrade/Local Produce wherever possible and appropriate and we are very environmentally conscious. We recycle whatever we can and our heating and hot water are provided by a wood pellet boiler. Come and experience a Warm Welsh Welcome at one of the finest B&B's in the area. There will always be someone here from 4 p.m. onwards, earlier if you tell us in advance.
