| A warm welcome awaits you at this delightful Georgain Country house set in the beautiful countryside of West Devon. The house, its garden and the surrounding area offer a tranquil escape from the pressures of modern life.
Ideally located for exploring Devon and Cornwall. We are close to the wild beauty of Dartmmor and the lovely Tamar Valley, both of which offer excellent walking and cycling. A 30 minute drive will take you to the North or South coasts of Devon and Cornwall. The world renowned Eden Project is only a 50 minute drive away. There are several National Trust properties and gardens nearby, including Lydford Gorge, Cotehele House, Buckland Abbey, Lanhydrock, Tintagel and RHS Rosemore. We have 4 guest rooms, all large and individually furnished. Guests are welcome to relax in the large elegant drawing room or enjoy our garden teeming with birdlife. There are pubs and restaurants nearby. Guests have a choice of traditional cooked English, continental or vegetarian breakfasts. Being off the beaten track, peace and quiet are assured, only interrupted by birdsong and the occassional hoot of an owl. After a good nights sleep and a hearty Stowford breakfast, guests will be well equipped to explore this beautiful part of West Devon. |
