| Glas y Marian – Caernarfon Road, Beddgelert
Glas y Marian is a detached dormer bungalow situated in well established gardens, on the Caernarfon Road, a few minutes stroll from the village centre. Beddgelert is an award winning village, having been voted the prettiest in Europe in 1997. It is ideally situated for walking, whether up Snowdon, or just an easy flat walk, along the Aberglaslyn pass. The village has a number of pubs, restaurants and cafes – our ice cream parlour is famous and a visit is a must! We have a number of craft shops, a village store and post office. Rupert Bear fans will recognise the area, which was used by Alfred Bestall in his illustrations. A short drive towards Porthmadog, will take you to a good golf course at Morfa Buchan, and some lovely sandy beaches.
The property has been completely modernised, with double glazing and central heating. The south facing garden has a small terrace where guests can sit and watch the world go by! We offer two well appointed large guest bedrooms that are en-suite. They have zip and link style beds which can be either king size double or twin. Both rooms have double aspect windows with views of Moel Hebog and surrounding gardens.
A freshly cooked breakfast, including such dishes as Welsh Rarebit, Smoked Haddock, and a traditional British Grill, are available in the dining room, which looks out over the garden and mountains.
