| Your hostess, Josephine Kitchin, welcomes you to our home in the heart of Robin Hood country. Farnsfield is a very pretty village of genuine character with a useful range of shops, a church and three inns which serve both lunchtime and evening meals. The earliest starts serving dinner from 5.30PM. Grange Cottage is a 300 year old Georgian house with oak beams and leaded lights and three beautiful and extensive gardens stretching to some 2 acres, complete with wishing well in the drive. My husband and I have lived in the village of Farnsfield for 35 years and here for 30 years and we are delighted to share our much loved home with you. For the third consecutive year we have been awarded the coveted AA 3 red diamond rating (given to the top 10% of all AA 3 diamond establishments) and can offer you welcoming surroundings and good home cooked breakfasts from local produce. Your pets are very welcome and we operate a no smoking policy in the house. If you prefer, we can offer a packed lunch instead of breakfast for those long days out with early starts and Grange Cottage is central to many footpath routes. We are a short drive to Sherwood Forest, Center Parcs, Newark, of International Antiques Fair fame and fairly close to the Derbyshire Peak District We offer secure on site parking with electric gates.
