Fiddleback Farm is situated on the outskirts of the historic City of Carlisle on the A595, and is an ideal location to stay when en-route to or from Scotland. For those wishing to stay a little longer, and tour the area, Fiddleback is within 25 miles of Hadrian’s Wall, and only twenty minutes drive from the Lake District National Park, where after a long day sightseeing or hill walking, Fiddleback Farm is the perfect evening retreat, to relax and enjoy, a home cooked evening meal, where after you can soak up all the atmosphere that a period property of 300 years has to offer in the comfort of the lower lounge. With tours in mind, we can offer various scheduled tours, of the Lake District National Park where you can visit William Wordsworth’s beloved Grasmere, from where he drew inspiration from it's beauty, and the home of Beatrix Potter, the famous children’s novelist. Or tour Hadrian’s Wall, or the Historic City of Carlisle with it’s castle and discover how Bonnie Prince Charlie captured the castle in 1745, then visit the Cathedral and view it's famous 14th century stained glass windows, these are to mention only a few of the historic attractions Carlisle has to offer.
