| A warm welcome awaits.......... The Melrose is an elegant Victorian house. It is situated in the heart of Ambleside, and is a mere stone's throw away from restaurants, tea-rooms, shops, public houses and tourist amenities. The Melrose boats 8 rooms of varying sizes to accommodate a variety of group sizes. All rooms are equipped with fresh towels, TVs, alarm clock, hairdryer, kettle, refreshment trays and complimentary toiletries. The Melrose is personally run by its owners who will ensure your stay is an enjoyable one. Complimentary passes for leisure complex included. |

| Dining room - Each morning breakfast is served in our dining room. the sideboard is set out buffet style with a selction of cereals, yoghurts, fresh fruit, conserves, grapefruit and specility teas. We allow guests to help themselves and then we take an order for a full English breakfast or vegetarian version if preferred. Triple 'blue' room - The blue room is a flexible room in that it comprises a double bed and a single bed, hence is suitable for two persons or a small family. The room is ensuite and is located at the back of the house, overlooking Loughrigg terrace. Triple 'red' room - Our triple room is spacious and airey. The room comprises a double bed and a single bed, hence is suitable for smll family groups or suitable as a twin room sleping two persons. The room is more than adequate to take an additional portable bed to assist with greater flexibility for small families. The room has a new flat screen and integral DVD player. |
