It all boils down to your view of value for money. 3. Breakfast at the Lodge - Our window table is very popular with guests so they can overlook Athenaeum Street whilst enjoying tneir breakfast. We can cook around 20 different breakfasts to order plus other options including the Rainbow Lodge detox. 4. Plymouth Hoe - Within a minute, you can enjoy this view over Hoe Park and Plymouth Sound. 5. Private Car Park - We have had all sorts of prestigious vehicles in our car park. Austin Healeys, MG's and even a Bentley. But the 3 Harley Davisons in this picture took the biscuit 6. Theatre Royal - Plymouth's Entertainment District includes the Pavilions concert arena and the Reel Cinema. But it is crowned by the superb Theatre Royal which offers world class drama and comedy, excellent acoustics and an auditorium that many of our guests say is more intimate than most. And it's just a few minutes walk away 7. Plymouth's Centre of Fun - The Barbican contains many of Plymouth's surviving old buildings. It once formed the city's outer defence but is now Plymouth's centre of fun and relaxation. One Australian guest told us that there are more places to eat and drink in the Barbican than you can shake a stick at - and it's easy for you to find out if he's right as it's only a few minutes' walk away! 8. Ferries in Plymouth - Plymouth's Ferries can really add to your stay. The picture shows the Cremyll Ferry that you can catch about 10-15 minutes from our guest house. This takes you to beautiful Mt Edgcumbe Park in Cornwall and on down the Coastal Path. A summer only ferry goes to Cawsand making a walk tio Rame Head easy. A water taxi goes to Mount Batten, giving you access to the Eastern Coastal Path over Jennycliff. 9. The University of Plymouth - Our University is one of the largest in the country with over 30,000 students. The Guardian University 2011 Guide describes Plymouth as one of the top two modern universities in the UK with a “first class campus” and a number of degrees ranking in the top 20. Our picture shows the University’s flagship building, named after Roland Levinsky, a former Vice Chancellor. Just a short walk from our doorstep. 91. Rame Head - Of course you can drive to beautiful Rame Head. But using ferries or buses, you can easily get there and back in a day. It's a truly special place, added to by the presence of 500-year old chapel that rests on its peak. |
