| This Edwardian accommodation offers two double bedrooms, one en suite, with full English breakfast, tea and coffee making facilities hairdryer and television. Wireless-free internet access is also available by arrangement. Single occupancy is also possible in the 2nd bedroom with shared bathroom. Situated is a quiet unadopted road with a bridle path passing the front of the property, The Goat house is just one mile from the beautiful Market town of Wimborne Minster and 9 miles from the Dorset coast including the famous Sandbanks peninsular with Blue Flag beaches. The New Forest is within easy driving distance as is the Dorset Jurassic coastline and many other leisure activities including Horse Riding, Golf, Cycling, Walking and sailing in Poole’s magnificent harbour. Corfe Castle with its Castle and Steam railway to Swanage is 18 miles distant. Main line rail services at Poole are just 6 miles away and Bournemouth International Airport 8 miles. The town of Wimborne and its historic Minster Church offers many interesting places to visit. The Model Town a miniature model of the town as it was in the 1950's, the Priests House Museum, with its famous garden and the Minster itself that dates back to Norman times. With its two towers the Minster can be seen on approaches to the town. The River Stour and its tributary the River Allen run through the town providing riverside walks and boating at weekends in the summer. The National Trust owned property Kingston Lacy is just a few miles North West of Wimborne in the direction of Badbury Rings. Dating from the Iron Age, a period spanning the years from 800BC to immediately prior to the Roman occupation in AD43, the hill fort at Badbury was constructed on a site that was certainly occupied from much earlier times. This can be seen by the four Bronze Age (2200BC-800BC) round barrows, the most notable of which are the three that lie just to your right as you travel up the track to the present car park.
