| Voted Top London Hotel in the Travel & Leisure Reader's Survey (January 2007), The Goring was the very last grand hotel to be built in the Edwardian era. Completed in 1910, it is now the oldest, privately owned luxury hotel in London. With a feel that varies between the traditional country house to the classically British, luxury and elegance are evident throughout. In the restaurant, a winner at the Tio Pepe ITV London Restaurant Awards, an experienced chef prepares food of the highest quality, served amid traditional English surroundings. In the evenings, the Swarovski Chandeliers are lowered for a more intimate atmosphere. Elsewhere, 3 interconnecting rooms provide different environments for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and evening suppers. The rich, dark bar leads through to a light, airy terrace and finally into a grand, yet comfortable lounge. A veranda has been added to the back of the terrace. This open space seats 24 people overlooking the famous Goring Gardens where guests can enjoy breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. As part of your accommodation, you will be able to enjoy complimentary membership at Victoria’s LA Fitness Club, just a 3 minute walk away. Here you will have access to a swimming pool, sauna, and state-of-the-art gymnasium. Massage treatments and fitness classes may also be booked directly with the club. As well as in-room internet access, there is also high-speed internet access at the desk and 24-hour complimentary internet access in the IT room. 4 rooms are available for meetings and other private functions. |
