| Bishopsgate is a Georgian town house built in 1755, possibly as a Dower House for a wealthy local family. The hotel boasts a Chinese Chippendale staircase, which is featured in the Welsh book of antiquities. The restaurant serves only locally produced food wherever possible, including such delicacies as Salt Marsh Lamb, fresh local fish and Welsh black beef. Homemade desserts and a selection of Welsh cheeses are always on offer. In addition, the hotel has a well-stocked bar with single malt whiskies being a speciality. |
