The Glen is attached to a lovely Georgian building which we run as an independent village store. Our two non-smoking ground floor bedrooms are quietly situated to the rear of our property. We have one twin room and one double room both with televisions, and hairdryers sharing the use of a shower room and kitchen if required. An iron and ironing board are available for guest use. Our shop sells all manner of groceries, beach goods etc and we also do DVD hire. Par is a thriving village situated on St Austell Bay between the ports of Fowey and Charlestown. It has many facilities including a mainline railway station, shops and pubs, a library etc. There is also an indoor swimming pool, gymnasium and riding centre open to the public situated on a caravan park within approx 300 metres of The Glen. Our house is approximately 10 minutes walk from Par's sandy beach and the Coastal path. The beautiful countryside around is popular with walkers. We are ideally located for the world renowned Eden Project which is 10 minutes drive away. There are many other attractions within a short drive such as The Lost Gardens of Heligan, Lanhydrock House , Trewithen Gardens and many other houses, castles and gardens. There are also many lovely little Cornish seaside towns and ports near by such as Mevagissy, Polperro and Looe, and even the North Coast villages and beaches such as Padstow, are only approx 30 - 40 minutes drive. We offer two options for staying at The Glen. Either traditional Bed and Breakfast with breakfast being taken in our family kitchen, or a self catering option with use of a well equipped kitchen. This option might particular appeal to families or 2 couples who could book the two rooms as a self-contained unit.
