| Surrounded by a large garden filled with wonderful flowers and scented Mediterranean plants, Borgo del Gallo is the ideal place if you want to find rest and peace during your holidays. The locals offer a friendly welcome to all visitors and the surrounding territory is typically rural with very suggestive landscapes. Borgo del Gallo is located strategically amidst all the beauty that the Salentinian coast has to offer, for example, Gallipoli, Santa Maria di Leuca and the marvellous Otranto, are very near. From the farmhouse it’s possible to take a walk through stone walls and “pajare” (typical ancient buildings) and you can visit the nearby Madonna del Gonfalone, the Old Basilian Crypt. The local traditional cuisine offers many simple but delicious recipes typical of the Mediterranean diet. At dinner you may taste these appetizing dishes made with local products enhanced by a fine selection of wines. You may complete your dining experience with elixirs or liqueurs made from a wide selection of fruits and aromatic herbs grown on the farm. During the summer you can take breakfast outside, beneath the large pergola. This includes beverages, homemade preserves, biscuits and cakes. Alternatively there is a selection of fresh cheeses, fruits, locally cured meats and bread. Five independently decorated guest rooms within the farmhouse provide you with the opportunity to enjoy your holiday in total comfort, offering a relaxing and interesting stay. Each room has its own bathroom, tv, and air conditioning. Parking is freely available. So, if you’re looking to experience the wonders of Salento with its beautiful sea, fantastic panaoramic views from rugged cliffs, golden beaches, wild nature and good cuisine - Salento is what you need.
