Set in half an acre of beautiful gardens this country station has been extensively renovated. It still retains the atmosphere of the past keeping open fires in three rooms. This is an ideal base for exploring the dramatic North Yorkshire coastline and the stunning 'Heartbeat' countryside of the North York Moors as well as the historic seaside town of Scarborough.
The Station House offers bed and breakfast accommodation with the best of home cooking and hospitality within the converted station building. All bedrooms have en-suite facilities with colour TV and tea and coffee making facilities.
One of the double bedrooms is set in what once was the old covered yard. The Ticket Office, Porter's Room and Gent's washroom have also been completely refurbished to provide a double en-suite room, with adjoining bedroom which sleeps a further two people.
A new arrival at Cloughton Station in 2004 was "OSCAR", a MK1 railway carriage built in Derby in 1962, which has been refurbished to a very high standard. The carriage is fully heated and air-conditioned and has one double en-suite bedroom, one twin-bedded room, and one bunk room. Additional folding beds are available if required.
The Station House also boasts an excellent tea room serving finest quality homemade snacks and refreshments. Find the opening times on the 'Tea Room' web page. |
