We'll provide directions to some of the best places to see including a museum featuring antique airplanes and a gallery with paintings by Andrew Wyeth. Bring your camera or your sketch pad. Artists of all kinds find inspiration here. Quiet Maine? Take a sightseeing cruise, stroll around our tiny village, watch the boats come and go, search the beach for driftwood, feast on some of the best lobster in Maine. The Seaside Inn is located in Port Clyde, a tiny fishing village in the mid-coast, often described as 'unspoiled Maine'. Fishing and lobstering have been a way of life here for generations. The inn is set in a restored sea captain's home and offers eight guest rooms, most with private bath, all with great amenities like guest bathrobes and hair dryers. Rates include a generous breakfast overlooking the harbor; TV in the fireplaced library; coffee any time; guest refrigerators on each floor and free wireless internet access. A short drive brings you to the restaurants, shops, movie theatres and museums of Rockland and Thomaston. For longer day trips, Port Clyde is also a great home base for setting out to L.L.
