| The Observer Magazine called Graig Wen “an awe-inspiring corner of Snowdonia” and breathtaking views of the Mawddach Estuary and mountains await you here. The stylishly converted Victorian slate cutting mill perches above native woodland leading to the water’s edge. Our easy going atmosphere and beautiful environment in the Snowdonia National Park make Graig Wen the perfect rural retreat for walkers, bird-watchers, mountain bikers/cyclists, artists, photographers and star-gazers. Watch woodpeckers from your window or hang out with the herons. We’ve got luxury beds, Welsh slate floors, mighty oak beams and custom-made furniture. We serve tasty breakfasts and communal evening meals and there’s Fairtrade tea and coffee in rooms. Guests can explore Graig Wen’s 45 acres of wild woodland, streams and meadows or cosy up in the spacious lounge with an eclectic library of books, music and DVDs. There’s TV/DVD players in all rooms, free WiFi access throughout, (some) mobile reception and free parking.
Our dining area and terrace give you the chance to enjoy some of the best views in Wales over a drink or home cooked evening meals using quality ingredients from neighbouring farms. All our rooms have been refurbished for 2008 and have wonderful views. You’ll find the fresh white guest rooms enlivened with vibrant Welsh textiles, eclectic furniture and groovy artwork from Welsh pop bands of the late sixties and early seventies. Our six guest rooms can accommodate up to 12 people.
Bring your bike and make the most of direct access to the Mawddach cycle trail/footpath. We can provide secure storage for bikes and a collection service from local train station. Well behaved pets are welcomed. Late check-out by arrangement. Meeting area for business groups.
Graig Wen’s B & B adjoins our spacious holiday cottage (sleeps 4 – 6), stunning camp site (Cool Camping Wales Top 5) and Mongolian style yurts – perfect for adventure seekers, romantics and group celebrations.
