The Fountain Inn is a 17th century rural coaching Inn serving real ales and freshly cooked meals, set deep in the countryside just on the border of the Wye Valley in a designated area of outstanding natural beauty. Whether you are travelling on Business or Holiday, the Fountain Inn is the ideal place to stay being only two miles from Tintern Abbey and just 15 minutes drive to the picturesque towns of Chepstow and Monmouth, with easy access to Abergavenny, Ross On Wye, Symmonds Yat, Bristol, Glousester, Newport and Cardiff, with close links to the M48, M4 and M5 Motorways. The area is very popular with walkers and bird watchers alike and has some excellent walks in the area, also the village of Tintern is nearby should you wish to visit the beautiful old Abbey. There are horse riding schools, Chepstow Racecourse, fisheries should you wish to learn how to fish and also rivers to fish from, clay pigeon shooting, also golfing at the Celtic Manor which is about 20 minutes drive away. We have a large car park for our guests and offer secure parking for cycles. We also allow well behaved dogs at a cost of £5 per night.
