| Steeple Ashton lies in the heart of Wiltshire and is an ideal base for touring such places as Stonehenge and Avebury, the Wiltshire White Horses, the Kennet and Avon Canal as well as the southern Cotswold villages of Lacock and Castle Combe. Bath is a 35 min. drive away.
There are also several National Trust sites in the area including Longleat House, Bowood, and Stourhead. We are an eco-friendly bed and breakfast offering private accommodation in the 'Annexe' a mini-cottage opposite the main house in the garden. It is a contemporary room, tastefully decorated and has an en-suite shower room, super comfy king bed and a set of bunk beds neatly tucked away for the kids. There is also a TV with Freeview, DVD player, WiFi internet, purified water system for hot and cold drinks, and for those wishing to make simple meals in-room, there is a microwave, mini-fridge, and toaster along with basic kitchen utensils, plates and seating for four. An iron, hairdryer and alarm clock are also supplied. Additionally, maps, area guides and attraction leaflets are in your room for trip planning. A hearty continental breakfast is served in your room or in the garden and is semi-DIY. Breakfast includes organic muesli or cereal, fresh seasonal fruit, yogurt, organic white or seeded toast with locally made jams, orange juice and coffee or tea. We are sensitive to those with special diets and will happily substitute any of the above as required. The Annexe is stocked with organic coffee and teas, hot chocolate for the kids, complimentary toiletries and fresh cut flowers from our garden. Accommodation is available as a single/double/ or family room as the Annexe is comprised of a king bed, bunk beds, and a travel cot is available for children up to age 2 and they stay for free. Prices are as quoted above. |
