| Non-smoking en-suite bed and breakfast accommodation in an unspoilt corner of the Lake District National Park just off the A590 at Witherslack. Half way between Kendal and Grange over Sands we are just 8 minutes from the M6 J36 making us easy to find and an ideal location for touring the English Lake District and South Lakes Furness Peninsulas. Ideal for business users, stop-overs to and from Scotland, short breaks and holidays. Our 3 spacious en-suite bedrooms (2 doubles and 1 family) have been designed with your comfort in mind and all have king-size beds, are non-smoking and pleasantly furnished with views overlooking the gardens and surrounding countryside. One double has an en-suite bathroom and its own private balcony with table and chairs and steps leading into a private part of the garden. The other double has and en-suite bathroom with bath and shower and views overlooking Whitbarrow Scar and the family room, which is a spacious south facing room has an en-suite shower, a king-size bed and single bed along with facility to include a high quality zed bed for an additional child, so can be used as double, twin or family room. Each bedroom has a flat screen colour TV with Freesat and digital radio, CD/DVD player with a library of CDs and DVDs, Free Wi-Fi, wine cooler/mini fridge, room safe, hairdryer and hospitality tray. Individual service and a warm and friendly welcome is guaranteed so start the day with our Lakeland breakfast before visiting the beautiful English Lake District, South Lakes Furness Peninsulas, Yorkshire Dales and North Lancashire attractions, countryside, towns and local villages. Our Lakeland breakfast menu is served in the conservatory. Cosy guest sitting room. Open all year (except Christmas). Parking available. Village pub 50 yards along the road serves good food and allow dogs in. Sorry but we don't have facilities for children under 5 years of age. Dogs are welcome and we provide a dog bed, water bowl and chew to make him/her feel more at home. A warm, friendly welcome and individual service is guaranteed, plenty of walks nearby and some direct from the door, village pub 50 yards along the road with many other restaurants and pubs in the area just a short drive away. Beech Hill House is ideally situated in the South Lakes for both business and leisure trips to the English Lake District and the South Lakes Furness Peninsulas making it an ideal stop-over for those travelling to and from Scotland and for those walking the Cumbrian Way and the Cumbria Coastal Way. Barrow-in-Furness on the Lake District Furness Peninsula is only a 30 minute drive away and Kendal, Levens Hall, Sizergh Castle, Holker Hall, Haverthwaite Railway, Cartmel Racecourse, Grange-Over-Sands, Dalton, Ulverston, Morecambe Bay and Arnside are only a short drive away. |
