Monkton Wyld Court is a centre for sustainable living, offering a unique brand of B&B and full board accommodation. We invite you to stay in our grade II listed, neo-Gothic house, which is conveniently situated close to the World Heritage coast, national walking/cycling trails and other tourist attractions. We have twin, double and family rooms with up to 6 beds. We are also very welcoming of single travelers. Our communal rooms have wood-burning stoves, period features and wonderful views over our grounds and rolling Dorset hills. We do not have en-suite facilities but the rooms are close to toilets and bathrooms. We have a beautiful sitting room with grand piano, a healing room where you can book massages and alternative therapy sessions, a well-stocked library plus facilities for making music, pottery and other arts and crafts. We strive to run the centre in a sustainable way. Our water comes from wells fed by natural springs and waste is processed through our reedbed system. We have a comprehensive recycling system, use solar energy on site and buy eco-friendly and fair trade products wherever we can. The food at Monkton Wyld Court is vegetarian and mainly organically grown, sourced from our own farm and kitchen garden or local suppliers wherever possible. We cater for vegan, wheat and dairy-free diets by arrangement. Our eleven acres of stunning gardens and natural woodland provide the perfect space for contemplation, relaxation, wildlife spotting and there are plenty of safe play areas for children. The local beaches of Charmouth and Lyme Regis are within walking distance and are perfect for fossil hunting, bathing or just taking in the beautiful views. The Monkton experience is a subtle blend of peace and quietude, with friendly company and busy activity, and you can find your own balance, according to what you need or prefer.
