| In the heart of historic Romsey, just a minute's walk from the Abbey, The Star Inn is both a convivial local and an excellent base for exploring the town and the many places of interest in the region.
Built in the 17th century and originally a weaver's cottage, it was later extended to become the tap for the local Strongs Brewery. The Abbey is just one of many historic buildings to visit in Romsey, which is a thriving market town on the River Test.
To the south is one of the region's most important country houses, Broadlands, the seat of the Mountbatten family. For visitors staying overnight the inn has four guest bedrooms one twin, one double and two family rooms with
en-suite facilities .
The Star Inn is hosted by local Romsonians, Martin and Sylvia Finch who took over the public house in October 2007.
