| Cleavers Lyng is a AA 4 star highly commended,16thC grade II listed country guesthouse of considerable charm and character. With luxury en-suite bedrooms. The house is situated in a quiet country lane, a 5 min walk to Herstmonceux Castle or 1.5 miles from Herstmonceux Village and benefits from panoramic uninterrupted views over the Pevensey flats towards the South Downs. The village has a bistro, two pubs and two restaurants. One Indian and one French.
The house sits in just over 1.5 acres of landscaped gardens with feature pond with a rock and waterfall garden.We have a large private parking area for all guests. All rooms are double-bedded, comfortably furnished and fully en-suite with flatscreen colour TV, and integrated DVD player, radio alarm, and hospitality trays along with mineral water. FREE WIFI. Iron and board. Some rooms with fridge. The entire house is strictly non-smoking. A modern smoke and heat detection system is fitted throughout. Smoking is permitted in our gazebo in our grounds. WE are a 10 min drive to local beaches. Our location is equidistant between Eastbourne & Bexhill approx 20 mins, Brighton 40 mins, Glyndbourne Opera House 30 mins, and London Gatwick Airport 50 mins. |
