| Wendy and Tony Scott provide friendly bed and breakfast accommodation in our home in Shenfield Essex. Shenfield is a pleasant residential district on the outskirts of Brentwood.
We live in a four bedroom detached house with a large garden. Two of our bedrooms are available for bed and breakfast; each room has two single beds with TV and other facilities. A well-equipped bathroom is provided for the exclusive use of our guests. There is a good selection of pubs and restaurants in Shenfield and nearby Brentwood for our guests to get evenings meals. We welcome smokers and young children. There is a main line railway station with frequent express trains to Liverpool Street Station in London about 10 minutes walk from our house. We are some 3 miles to the east of Junction 28 on the M25. This gives ready access to Heathrow, Stanstead and Gatwick airports. About us 31 Mulberry Hill was built in the mid 1970s. We moved here in 1983 and brought up our family of two boys. Now they have left home, we have two spacious bedrooms to let and enjoy meeting people from all over the world, and of course, different regions and cities of the UK. My passions in life are gardening and embroidery and my husband, Tony, runs an IT Consultancy Business from home, but also helps with the B&B activities. We have a cat named Phoebe, who also enjoys the garden, but mostly for the wildlife! About the House 31 Mulberry Hill is a detached, family home with four bedrooms and a large garden at the rear. We are situated in a cul de sac in a pleasant residential area but within walking distance of both Shenfield and Brentwood high streets. We let two rooms, each with two single beds. Each has a TV, Tea and Coffee making facilities. There is a fully equipped bathroom for the exclusive use of guests. Breakfast is served in the dining room downstairs and is served up to 9.00AM. We provide a full English breakfast together with cereals etc. Car parking is available at the front of the house. The price includes a full English breakfast. Since I smoke, I welcome others with the habit. Children of all ages are welcome and I can provide a cot in the bedroom. Location We are very easy to get to both by road and rail, (and air). Below are some maps and further instructions. The nearest station is Shenfield, which is on the mainline from Liverpool Street. When you come out of Shenfield Station, you will find a taxi rank. However, we are only a few minutes walk away. Coming out of the station entrance walk up the hill, passing Barclays bank on your left. At the top of the hill, some 300 yards away, you will come to a mini roundabout. Go straight ahead there into York road, which is only some 150 yards long and ends in a T Junction. Turn right and the Mulberry Hill is 1st left. When coming by car, the best reference point is Junction 28 on the M25. Take the A1024 To Brentwood. Go all the way through the town until you come to a twin mini roundabout. Go straight on for 1 mile. Turn right into Worrin Road and then first right into Mulberry Hill. |
