| Butler's Gate is a Sussex style property nestling at the foot of the South Downs with views towards the sea. It is in a quiet location close to the heart of the 400 year old village but within easy access of the attractions of Eastbourne and within walking distance of local pubs which serve good food. Our pleasant, well appointed rooms are en-suite or with a private bathroom. They have period beds with quality mattresses which are very comfortable and supportive. The full English Breakfast is cooked to order and we use free range/organic ingredients where possible as well as home baked bread. We are happy to cater for special dietary requirements. Local attractions include the promenade with its bandstand and pier, the Sovereign Harbour Marina, the South Downs (an area of outstanding natural beauty), Pevensey Castle, theatres and a concert hall, characterful restaurants and pubs. In June, the International Women's and Men'sTennis tournament is held in Devonshire Park in the centre of Eastbourne. In August there is the air show AIRBORN which runs over three days. A good view can be had from the top of the Downs. |

Helen, Oxford Our entrance hall - As welcoming as the rest of the house. the bedroom - The main guest room is en-suite and situated on the second floor. The dining room - Guests are served their choice of cooked breakfast in our comfortable dining room. The En-Suite - Small but perfectly formed The main guest room - This room can either be made up as a twin room or a double View from the front window - Wish Hill is a quiet, leafy road View from the rear window - We have views to the sea over the tree tops and on a clear day can see the cliffs at Fairlight over 20 miles away. |
