| Griffin Barn is very conveniently located near Tillington between Midhurst (less than 10 minutes) and Petworth (five minutes) just off the A272 set in beautiful farm land with fabulous views of the South Downs. Our closest village of Tillington has an excellent local pub (The Horseguards Inn) for evening meals. Grittenham Barn is located just over the field from us - very useful if you are coming for a wedding as you can walk home should the need require. Goodwood, for the Festival of Speed and Horse Racing is less than 15 minutes away. Cowdray Polo grounds of both South Ambersham and Midhurst are very nearby. Griffin Barn is very private as it is a separate building to the main house and includes its own entrance, large sitting room with wood burning stove and breakfast area, kitchenette, shower and WC, large airy open plan oak beamed bedroom with superking size bed. On your welcome, I supply you with a set of keys so that you can come and go from the barn at your leisure. During your stay, the kitchen will be left fully stocked with bread/croissants/milk/butter/fruit juice etc so that you are able to help yourself to breakfast/snacks/drinks as and when you wish. Although the Griffin Room B&B is predominantly for couples, we do have two sofa beds and a guest bed in the sitting room and are more than happy to accomodate families and friends, just call me for a quote. If you are interested, we also offer bed and breakfast for your dogs/horses as well - again, call me to discuss and I can give you details of our equine accommodation and local rides (including the South Downs way) Griffin Barn also lends itself to longer stays as it is set up for self catering, so if you would like to stay longer than a couple of nights, please do call me. | Bedroom - Super King Size Bed in a large airy space that overlooks the sitting room. It is well equipped with hairdryer, radio, long length mirror and has three windows overlooking the South Downs. Griffin Barn - Griffin Barn Exterior - Self Contained Separate Annexe Kitchen area - This little room includes a fridge/freezer which is stocked with milk, fruit juice, bread and pastries for breakfast (and also for you to help yourself to at anytime.) It also has a toaster, kettle, microwave and small hob/oven. I have also put in a small ironing board and iron as experience tells me they are essential when preparing to be smart for a wedding after a long journey. The kitchen is always fully stocked so you can always have a cup of tea/coffee/piece of toast/fruit (or something stronger in the evenings) whenever you like. Sitting Room - Breakfast area - A small table and 4 chairs with windows to both sides to enjoy the view whilst you munch on some croissants/toast/cereals for breakfast. We have learned from experience, that most guests prefer to have a breakfast left for them to help themselves to in the morning so you can have complete privacy and eat at your own leisure. However, if you prefer to have a cooked breakfast delivered to your table in the morning, we are very happy to arrange this. |
