Recently renovated to a high standard, Rockvale Guest House is situated on the north coast of Tiree in the township of Balephetrish. The Isle of Tiree is the outermost of the Inner Hebrides and is renowned for it’s miles of beautiful white sandy beaches. Due to it’s scenic beauty, watersports, wildlife and peaceful relaxed pace Tiree makes an ideal holiday destination. Thanks to the influence of the Gulf stream Tiree benefits from a milder climate than the Scottish mainland and we also some of the highest recorded hours of sunshine for the UK. We can offer a variety of accommodation options, ranging from single occupancy through to rooms for families with young children. All five en suite guest rooms have been individually designed using high quality furnishings and fittings. Each room has a flat screen TV/DVD player, radio alarm clock, hairdryer, refreshment tray, Egyptian cotton bed linen, thermostatic controlled central heating in room and free wireless broadband access is available. Our breakfast room and conservatory/lounge are solely for guest use and can be accessed 24 hours. In our conservatory you will find a large selection of DVD’s, CD’s, books and local information. We have ample private off road parking available with disabled parking spaces close to reception. There is also garage space available for the safe storage of motorcycles and bicycles. We can also offer drying space for outdoor clothing and walking boots. Babies and children are very welcome at Rockvale. Children can be accommodated within parent’s room using our bed seatee, campbeds or travel cot. In addition we can also provide highchairs, baby listener, baby bath, cot linen, car seat, potty, children’s dishes, cutlery and a large selection of children’s toys and books. We can arrange baby sitting services if required. Rockvale is set within a fenced garden with a long driveway leading up from a quiet single track road. We are also only a couple of minutes walk away from Balephetrish Bay, a beautiful 2 mile long sandy beach. Buckets, spades and beach towels can be provided on request!! One of our ground floor double rooms is suitable for wheelchair access and has a specially fitted ensuite shower room. We are happy to assist with any extra requirements you may have need of. Well behaved dogs are also welcome at Rockvale by prior arrangement. We have kennel facilities next to the house although dogs are also allowed in rooms when accompanied by a responsible adult! There are plenty of walks nearby for dogs but please remember that Tiree is a farming community and your dog must be kept under control while near livestock. Spare leads, bedding and towels available.
