the old chaff barn is an early 19th barn originaly used as a grain store for the watermill. We have nearly 2 acres of paddocks and garden with views over open countyside set half mile off the main road. situated on the edge of upton village just 2 miles from Southwell and 5 miles from Newark and the A1. ideal for Southwell racecourse, Newark antique fair, a wedding at Norwood park or a relaxing start to your day at Eden Hall special occasion?, going to a wedding?, dont want to drive? we will drive you to and from your venue at no extra cost It was coverted by us in 1995 into a traditional 3 double bedroom cottage with lots of beams, york stone floors, large fire places with wood burning stoves, situated along side the River Greet where you can sit on the terrace and listen to the water rushing through the mill and if you are lucky you may spot a kingfisher, failing that there are plenty of ducks to feed, not forgetting the pigmy goats, hens and horses!! The hens provide the fresh eggs for your breakfast You may wish to walk one of the many footpaths including the trent valley way then relax in your own private bathroom in an original victorian roll top bath we prefer to call it homestay, you will not be sent to your room!! come and share our home with us, arrive and leave when you are ready,if you would like a lazy morning and a pot of tea in bed and then your breakfast will be served when you are ready.
