Our self-catering, bed and breakfast Guesthouse was constructed in 2003 in the local New Mexico small pueblo style. The guesthouse has two covered verandas with ample seating.
There is a fire chiminea by the east facing veranda and the southern veranda with a private hot tub, faces the cliffs overlooking Bear Creek - keep an eye out for hummingbirds, owls, birds of prey, sand-hill cranes, road-runners, quail, mule deer, the occasional herd of javelina, turkeys, and even big horn sheep.
Situated on 85 acres, at almost 5,000 feet, at the end of a working generational ranch, there are hills and river beds to wander, 1/3 of all the bird species of N. America come through here each year, and no matter what the season, the sky is big, the air is invigorating, the night shy is bright and one will simply fall in love with the finest of the high desert Southwest.
And, nearby, there is plenty to do, see and photograph. This is the land of the Apache, tales of Billy the Kid, and a host of Wild West legends. |
