|Built in 8168, our guest house is fully refurbished and offers stunning FAR-REACHING VIEWS of Lake Windermere and the surrounding fells. We offer Bed and Breakfast accommodation for double, single, twin and triple occupancy in 11 pretty, characterful, beautifully furnished bedrooms with en-suite facilities, hospitality trays, digital flatscreen TVs, also with digital radio channels, and hairdryers. Ten of our bedrooms have views of Lake Windermere and the fells, and one bedroom overlooks the woodlands and fields of Brant Fell, into which our B&B nestles.
We also have a comfortable and airy guest lounge with fabulous Lake Windermere and fell views where you can enjoy a cuppa and relax. Perhaps settle in with an interesting book to read, watch a TV programme or listen to the radio built into the digital TV with its digital radio channels, enjoy a lovely chat, or even play some cards or board games in the lounge.
Blenheim Lodge also provides FREE on-site private parking to guests staying with us. It can be difficult and expensive to park in Bowness centre, but why not park at Blenheim Lodge, and walk the 5 minutes to Bowness centre, Lake Windermere, and the piers, where ferries await to take visitors to Lakeside, Ambleside, Ferry House, Brockhole, Fell Foot, and Lakeside, amongst other stops? The car ferry is only 5 minutes drive from our Bed and Breakfast.
Set against acres of organic woodlands, fields and meadows, Blenheim Lodge nestles into Brant Fell in the National Park, and boasts panoramic views of Lake Windermere and the mountains beyond. Footpaths crisscross Brant Fell, the most famous of which is The Dales Way, a long distance footpath which starts in Ilkley, Yorkshire, and ends a minutes walk from our Bedand Breakfast, Blenheim Lodge. Indeed, Blenheim lodge is the first guest house and serviced accommodation off The Dales Way in Bowness on Windermere.
Guests at Blenheim Lodge enjoy a quiet and peaceful location amidst beautiful tranquil scenery, only 5 minutes' walk from Bowness centre, Lake Windermere and Bowness Pier. There are shops, restaurants, pubs, tourist attractions and amenities located on and around the lakeshore and Promenade. Bowness on Windermere itself is a pretty and thriving village, full of independent shops, the famous World of Beatrix Potter Attraction, eateries, cinema, and other services, such as deep muscle massage therapy and hairdressing salons. There is much to explore and enjoy in this village.
We provide free parking for our guests, who often park and walk the few minutes into town. For guests who require assistance planning their holiday stay at Blenheim Lodge, please feel free to contact us and we will do our best to help. For example, we can put you in touch with firms offering airport transfers, help you book taxis from the train station, arrange door to door guided tours, book meals on your behalf at local or not so local restaurants, etc. For walkers who do not wish to drive in order to go walking or hiking, we can recommend The Dales Way, which practically ends in our backyard. We also have a drying room for wet clothes and an outside tap to clean muddy boots.
Our breakfast offerings include much local produce, from hand-cured and hand-sliced bacon and handmade sausages from our local butcher to free range eggs from a local farm freshly delivered right to our door. We have vegetarian options as well, including light and beautifully flaky croissants and tasty muffins. We will try our best to cater for special dietary requirements.
Come and visit us at Blenheim Lodge and return refreshed and relaxed. Come as guests and leave as friends! We look forward to welcoming you!
