Reason Hill is a Kentish farmhouse with 17th Century origins, set within our 200 acre fruit farm. The house is perched on the edge of the Weald of Kent with stunning views south over orchards and oast houses. The house was renovated two years ago and an orangery added, leading off the stone flagged kitchen. Breakfast is served here, or if weather permits, on the terrace.
Surrounded by orchards, the blossom is beautiful in spring and there are lovely walks nearby. There are three good local pubs within a mile and many more excellent pubs and restaurants in the vicinity.
Rooms are comfortable, pretty and furnished with antique furniture and soft colours. All have TV, tea and coffee making facilities, and hairdriers.
There is a wealth of wonderful National Trust and other properties and gardens within easy reach. Leeds Castle, Sissinghurst Castle and Bedgebury Pinetum are less than half an hour away. Hever Castle, Bodiam Castle, Great Dixter Garden,Ightham Mote and Knole Park are not much more. Canterbury, Tunbridge Wells, Rye, and the beaches at Winchelsea, Whitstable and Bexhill are within easy reach and the Channel Tunnel is a 45 minutes drive, making a day trip to France feasible.
