|Cantre Selyf is a fine town house dating from the early 17th Century. One of the most historic properties in Brecon, it occupies a central position in the town, close to St. Mary's Church.
The front of the house, although imposing, gives little indication of what lies behind. A large walled garden is enclosed by the Norman Town Wall, while the interior is a harmonious blend of 17th Century features and later, mostly 18th Century, additions.
Guests are welcome to enjoy the peaceful garden and pretty summer house. Perfect for relaxing with a pre-dinner drink or afternoon tea.
Our Guest Bedrooms have 17th Century moulded and beamed ceilings, Georgian fireplaces and cast iron beds. En-suite bathrooms provide guests with the convenience and privacy they require.
We have three rooms, two doubles and one twin, all available for single occupancy. House parties for groups of friends are our speciality.
The Guest Sitting Room, with an elegant but comfortable 18th Century atmosphere, is a pleasant room in which our guests can relax at their leisure.
Parking is provided and we request that guests respect our 'no smoking' policy.
We pride ourselves on providing a warm and friendly welcome and take pleasure in sharing our unique home.
